The Borough of Redbridge is an ambitious place full of exciting opportunities, with a public realm based improvement programme currently underway, as we look to both innovate and improve our services. With HS2 coming to better connect the Borough, exciting projects covering air quality, parking design and enforcement as well as opportunities to develop, mobilise and embed an ambitious digital plan that will enhance the way we work, the ways customers engage us and how citizens access services within the Borough, there’s so many great areas of work to be involved in. We are looking to find the right person to help us deliver an innovative parking strategy, digital programme and be part of the delivery of our local implementation plan all against the backdrop of a tough financial picture. The Head of Parking and Traffic Services will have wide ranging responsibilities and will be a key role within Civic Pride to make the Borough Cleaner, Safer and More Accessible.
To deliver this ambitious work programme and to ensure the best for our service users, we need a strong lead. This is a brand-new post that will lead a newly created management team to ensure digital opportunities, contract review/redesign projects and a foundation for continual improvement are all successfully implemented.
Reporting to the Operational Director for Civic Pride, the Head of Parking and Traffic Services will join our leadership team to lead the parking and traffic service through a range of cross cutting projects, help to identify and scope future opportunities and work as part of a performance management framework across areas ranging from Crime & Safety, Regulatory Services, Environment and Transportation and Emergency Planning.
You will be an experienced parking professional with strong stakeholder management qualities who will be able to work with external partners, such as the Police, TfL and ELWA as well as having experience of working in a political environment.
